For four years beginning 2018, Beryl labored with Gregg Harris mentoring over 200 inmates - until his heart surgery "retired" him.  This gifted man (engineer, university professor, Presbyterian minister) has been serving Jesus - and His people - with all of his gifts, and with every ounce of his energy.  Gregg said of Beryl, "He is one of the most unbelievable prayer warriors I know."

Back when I, Jeff, was a prisoner, burdened with my mistakes, and struggling to hope - Jesus sent Gregg Harris and Beryl Clemens Smith to minister His grace to me.   All those years, I'd never received a visit - until Gregg and Beryl showed up in my life.   I'd been longing for personal validation - Jesus sent these guys to "love on me" as Christ's ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20).  Jesus' love has RESCUED me and RAISED me up - and these guys were a big part of it.  (Psalm 145:14)

How delighted I was when Beryl sent me an autographed copy of EMBERS: Poetry for Everyday Living!  Personally,  I MARVEL at Beryl's poetry -  it "resonates" with me.   It speaks to my fallen human condition, and points me to Jesus - the Solution.   Me the prisoner - I wondered, "How did Beryl capture these feelings of mine?"   Yeah, Beryl's poetry grips my innermost soul - it often brings me to tears.  It brings healing.  How did Beryl DO this?  Perhaps it's a "Holy Spirit thing"!   I'll never forget this - Beryl VISITED me.   Feet to the pavement - pen to paper - Beryl Clemens Smith LOVED me - as Christ's ambassador.              ...Jeff Wheldon, once a prisoner, now a producer - serving Christ and His people.
