How to Join IPPM's Outreach by Mentoring a Prisoner:

We are very serious about the work we do and believe that God has called us to reach out to incarcerated men and women.  Our purpose is to bring hope and peace to their troubled lives as they deal with the day to day rigors of prison life.

By bringing the good news of the Gospel to inmates, we thank God that many will become born again.  We also recognize that there are many men and women in jail or prison who have already come to faith in Christ.  Some are new in the faith, and struggle to get thru each day, while others are mature believers in Christ who endeavor to live a life of faith and contentment during this great trial in their life.

Whether they are still drinking milk as babes in Christ, or eating steak as mature believers, – IPPM wants to try and establish as close of a Paul/Timothy relationship as possible.  As we begin this journey of a pen-pal relationship, we hope to gain an understanding of where they are in Christ, and develop a discipleship program that is customized to meet their needs.

We know that inmates who profess faith in Christ make better inmates, just as those incarcerated men and women who regularly receive correspondence through the mail find the passage of time filled with hope and ongoing encouragement.

It wasn’t by choice that we have become one of the fastest growing prison ministries in the U.S.  By the end of July, 2022, our database will include more than 6,700 incarcerated men and women in all fifty states.  Being such a small ministry, I hope you can realize how our number one need is for volunteers from our churches to come forward who have a desire to establish a mentoring relationship with a prisoner

If you choose to become a part of IPPM’s Christian Discipleship outreach, you will very soon realize what a treasured relationship you have established, and that God will, in short order be depositing much fruit to your account.

We are willing to help guide you through this process and answer any and all questions you may have. We would like to send you some paperwork that will include an application to help get you started.  There is one fact that is true in prison ministry;  “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”  Our Savior is pleased when we reach out to “the least of these,”  with a sincere calling and purpose.  May the Lord richly bless you as you minister to the fallen and forgotten of society.
